The Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ) has learnt with great sadness the passing on of journalist and colleague Maxwell Katakamba.
The Vmcz Board and Secretariat offer their deepest condolences to the Katakamba family, media friends and colleagues in Gweru and Zimbabwe at large.
His death is not only a loss to the media fraternity and the Gweru Community but also the Zimbabwean population at large.
Katakamba leaves behind a rich legacy as he had over 15 years of experience working in various newsrooms in Zimbabwe.
Mr Katakamba will be remembered for his jovial nature and professional approach to his work.
May his soul rest in peace.
