The Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ) Board has appointed Mr. Loughty Dube as the Executive Director of the VMCZ with effect from 01 January, 2014.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Dube was the VMCZ Acting Executive Director. Previously he was the Programmes Officer, Advocacy and Complaints. Mr. Dube has 15 years media and training experience. He has held several leadership positions in media organisations.
Mr. Dube’s appointment comes after the resignation of VMCZ Executive Director, Takura Zhangazha, who left the organisation on 30 November, 2013 to pursue other interests after having been with the VMCZ for three years.
On behalf of the VMCZ Board I wish Mr. Dube well in his new responsibilities and I call on all VMCZ members and stakeholders to support him in his new position.
