The Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ) Board has appointed Mr. Donald Mukota, Information Officer of the VMCZ with effect from 01 February, 2014.
Mr. Mukota has considerable experience in the media. He was previously with the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation’s – Voice of Zimbabwe (Gweru Studios) where he served in various capacities, with his last position being Productions Editor. It is during this period that he acquired skills in information gathering and dissemination through various media platforms.
He also has experience in public relations. Mr. Mukota will be in charge of VMCZ’s information dissemination platforms, formulation of the organization’s communications strategies among other duties.
On behalf of the VMCZ Board I wish Mr. Mukota well in his new responsibilities and I call on all VMCZ members and stakeholders to support him in his new position.
