Masvingo Central Member of Parliament, Jeffryson Chitando, filed a complaint with the Media Complaints Committee (MCC) of the Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ) over an article published by Bulawayo24.com on 8 October 2019 headlined, “Mujuru’s NPP in shambles”.
Honourable Chitando complains that he was never interviewed in connection with the article in question and that, therefore, the comments attributed to him the story are false. The complainant also argues that he is not the National People’s Party (NPP) spokesperson as stated in the article as the cited political party has its own spokesperson.
