The Commissioner General of the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), Mr. T.G. Matanga, filed a complaint with the Media Complaints Committee (MCC) over a story published by the NewsDay on 27th February 2018 headlined, “Mufuka launches book on Mugabe”.
The ZRP raises the following issues in the letter of complaint:

That the Commissioner General of Police, T. G Matanga, denies ever speaking to Mr. Ken Mufuka or any of his associates as alluded to in the article
The Commissioner General of Police also urges journalists to verify information provided by sources before publication. He is therefore demanding a retraction of the statements attributed to him in the article.
