Last Thursday around 1pm as we were going for an assignment in Chitungwiza, we passed through the Harare central business district to drop a colleague, Abigail Matsikidze who was on a different assignment.

Along Julius Nyerere Way just after the flyover, we saw a huge crowd apaprently facing off with a few men, who later turned out to be police officers, carrying spikes.
There seemed to be chaos and our photographer Shepherd Tozvireva proceeded to take pictures as we drove.
While he was at it, a plain-clothed police officer rushed to our car, reached for the ignition and switched the engine off.
