Prophet Angel filed a complaint with the VMCZ over an article published in the Daily News of 29 May 2012 headlined “Makandiwa Ally attacks TB Joshua.” The newspaper alleged that Prophet Angel attacked Nigerian Prophet TB Joshua during one of his sermons.
Prophet Angel alleges that the article is false, misleading and defamatory.Prophet Angel wants the Daily News to publish an apology and a retraction to the story.

After hearing from both parties and viewing a video recording of the sermon in question, the VMCZ Media Complaints Committee ruled that the Daily News misquoted Prophet Angel during the sermon.
The MCC ruled that the Daily News must publish a letter of apology in its newspaper.The Daily News proceeded to publish an apology in its edition of 24 July 2012.
