Dear VMCZ Members;
Please be advised that the Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on 22 September, 2017 in Harare starting at 09:30 am.
The venue of the AGM will be communicated in due course. At this year’s AGM elections will be held for two Board positions, that of a public representative (currently held by Ms Precious Chakasikwa) and one for a media representative in the board (currently Mr Tawanda Majoni). This is a notification of the AGM and official invitations to out of Harare members, who will have their costs covered by the VMCZ, will be sent out in due course, after consultations with the VMCZ Provincial contact persons.
Please note that due to resource constraints and a high number of paid up members, VMCZ is unable to cover costs for all outside of Harare delegates.
AGM invitations will be sent out to members in due course. The VMCZ will cover transport and dinner allowances for invited out of Harare members.
This is not an official invitation to attend the AGM and due to resource constraints, not everyone from out of Harare who is paid up will be able to attend the AGM. Provincial contact persons will be responsible for selecting people to attend the AGM.
Below are this year’s 2 positions up for elections;
1) One Public representative
2) ONe Media representative.
Paid up members are invited to nominate for the above positions and nominations should be sent to the following email address mediacomplaints@gmail.com by 15 September 2017.
