Malcom Tekeshe filed his complaint with the MCC over a story published by the NewsDay on 1 June 2015 headlined, “Government engages international company to verify imports quality”.
Tekeshe argues that the article is not accurate and likely to contribute to confusion in the business environment by reporting that the Consignment Based Conformity Assessment programme between Bureau Veritas and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce is running when it was suspended by the Ministry mid-May.
Tekeshe is aggrieved as he states that the organisation he works for is directly affected by the matter and is therefore seeking to have this inaccuracy corrected so as to avoid fueling confusion.

The MCC has contacted the NewsDay over the matter and the newspaper is yet to respond.
