Call for Consultancy: Newsletter and Social Media Content Development

The Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ) is looking for a consultant to develop a newsletter and social media content.

Project Objective:

To enhance accountability and gender-responsiveness in public resource management, focusing on HIV/SRH services for adolescents and youth, as well as agricultural services for smallholder farmers, in support of achieving selected SADC regional commitments across Zimbabwe.

Scope of Work:

We are seeking a skilled consultant to develop an engaging newsletter and social media content for our project. The consultant will work closely with the programmes team to highlight the initiatives, progress, and impacts, ensuring that the content aligns with the project objectives and resonates with the target audiences.

Responsibilities:

(a) Newsletter Development

• Create a bi-annual newsletter that effectively communicates project updates, success stories, and relevant information.
• Ensure content is informative, engaging, and tailored to our stakeholders, including policymakers, community members, and partners.
• Collaborate with the project team to gather necessary information and visuals.

(b) Social Media Content Creation

• Develop three social media videos that highlight key aspects of the project.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in developing newsletters and social media content for development projects.
• Strong writing and communication skills, with an ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
• Understanding of gender issues and public resource management, particularly in the context of HIV/SRH and agricultural services.
• Familiarity with the SADC regional commitments and the socio-political landscape of Zimbabwe.
